Recently, an industrial company in Chongqing successfully implemented our 4G submersible level transmitter, effectively solving the long-standing problem of tank overflows caused by frequent rainwater runoff, thus improving plant environmental safety and operational efficiency.
For safety and environmental reasons, the company has installed protective water tanks to collect rainwater and leakage next to several industrial tanks in its production area. Chongqing experiences abundant rainfall, especially during the rainy season. Traditional manual inspections are insufficient to promptly monitor tank level changes, leading to frequent overflows.
Overflowing water not only affects the on-site working environment but also poses certain safety and environmental hazards. Due to the complex environment of the tank area, laying cables for wired monitoring is costly, inconvenient, and potentially dangerous; therefore, real-time level monitoring has always been a major challenge.
A 4G submersible level transmitter is installed on top of the water tank, directly submerged to the bottom, and accurately calculates the water level by measuring static pressure. Its biggest advantage lies in its use of low-power wide-area network wireless transmission technology, eliminating the need for external power and signal cables, completely freeing users from wiring constraints and making installation flexible and simple.
After implementation, the wireless transmitter can continuously transmit level data to the cloud or central monitoring platform 24 hours a day. Staff can view the real-time water level status of each tank on their mobile phones or computers and preset alarm thresholds. Once the water level approaches full, the system automatically issues warnings via SMS, app push notifications, etc., reminding personnel to drain the water in time, realizing a shift from "passive response" to "proactive prevention."
